FMA concludes agreement of cooperation

The FMA Liechtenstein and the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the cooperation in the field of banking and financial supervision.

Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are agreements between supervisory authorities to further specify their cooperation within the framework of the requirements of national law. MoUs make the practical supervisory work of the FMA more efficient when cross-border issues arise. MoUs may not, however, modify the applicable legal framework of the FMA's supervisory activities. MoUs are an important trust-building measure. The content of the MoU between the FMA Liechtenstein and the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino is not published.
